“T-rays” could let art historians see murals hidden beneath coats of plaster or paint in centuries-old buildings, University of Michigan engineering researchers say.

A non-destructive method of carrying out a series of tests on solid dosage forms, developed by UK firm Teraview, can be carried out in real time on the production line and could be used in continuous processing systems, according to a new study.

We are seeking to hire an innovative and resourceful scientist at the postdoc level to join a small team working on the development of a sub-wavelength imaging and sensing systems, primarily for use in medicine and biology.

Previous experience in THz spectroscopy / imaging is required.

Microchips may start to communicate wirelessly, and – a bit down the road – medical imaging technology much more precise and cheaper, at the terahertz level.
