POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE IN TERAHERTZ TECHNOLOGY - NIST
The Electromagnetics Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado, is soliciting applicants for a postdoctoral opportunity in terahertz technology to begin in early 2008. The project is to develop and apply passive imaging and spectroscopic systems for the terahertz frequency range for applications in biomedical diagnostics and chemical and biological spectroscopy. Applicants should have a doctorate in physics, electrical engineering, or similar. We seek an experimentalist with experience and expertise in high frequency electromagnetics and clean-room fabrication (e.g., microwave noise, antennas, dielectric materials, e-beam lithography). Experience in nanoscale device development and terahertz applications would be helpful. U.S. citizenship is preferred but not required. Inquiries, applications, and three reference letters should be addressed to Dr. Ron Goldfarb, goldfarb@nist.gov, NIST - 818.03, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. NIST is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
