IRMMW-THz 2005

The annual International Conference on Infrared and Millimeter Waves (IRMMW) has joined with the International Conference on Terahertz Electronics to form the largest and most important conference on the science, technology and applications of infrared, terahertz and millimeter waves. Over 400 papers will be presented on the following topics:
- Free Electron Lasers and Synchrotron Radiation
- Gyro-oscillators and Amplifiers
- Sources, Detectors and Receivers Semiconductor, Superconductor and Other Novel Devices and Components (Nano and Quantum devices, Photonic crystals)
- Transmission Lines and Antennas
- Millimeter Waves Systems
- Infrared Imaging and Applications
- THz Technology, Ultrafast Measurements, and Imaging
- Spectroscopy and Material Properties
- Astronomy, Atmospheric, and Environmental Science
- Plasma and Industrial Applications
- Biological and Medical Applications
- Ultrafast Chemistry and Physics
A major goal of the conference is also to provide a forum for the exchange of information on physics, technologies, and applications of the interdisciplinary infrared-terahertz-millimeter wave regions and to discuss future directions of terahertz development in order to foster applications of these emerging technologies.
The IRMMW/THz 2005 Conference Program will include plenary talks, invited talks and contributed papers from leaders in the corresponding fields of research, technology and applications.
Location
Join the IRMMW/THz Electronics community for the 2005 conference in historic Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, location of early settlements in pre-revolutionary war America. Historic Williamsburg, an exciting destination in eastern Virginia, is about a 3-hour drive from Washington DC or 30-45 minutes from either the Richmond or Newport News/Williamsburg International Airports.
