Education and Experience: Doctorate in Physics or closely related field (anticipated by September 1, 2007). Research overlaps with current applied physics research areas at WSU, at neighboring Air Force Research Lab, or with the state of Ohio’s high technology needs, (e.g., advanced materials, nanotechnology, terahertz, sensors). Should be qualified to teach physics courses at all levels and to develop an active, funded research program.
Preferred: Postdoctoral experience.
Working Conditions: Approximately nine contact hours per week in a classroom setting (lectures plus labs).
Position Description:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate physics classes.
- Perform research in physics.
- Carry out service work for the department.
