The 1st Asian-Pacific Workshop on THz Photonics
The 1st Asian-Pacific Workshop on THz Photonics
National Chiao Tung University
Hsinchu, Taiwan
December 14, 2006
Jointly Sponsored by NSC & MOE
1. Workshop Scope
The aim of the workshop is to bring together Asian and pacific researchers pursuing the studies in terahertz photonics. Of particular interest will be THz photonic devices (active and passive) as well as related physics and applications.
2. When & Where
The workshop will be held on December 14, 2006 in National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Invited talks and posters are planned. This meeting is planned in conjunction with he annual OPT (Optics and Photonics Taiwan) meeting, with about 1000 presentations in all field of optics and photonics, to be held on December 15 and 16 in National Tsinghua University, our next door neighbor. Temperatures in December are generally cool, dry and pleasant (average in the high teens and low twenties) for Hsinchu during the day. The workshop will be held on campus of National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, adjacent to the Science Park. Details about the hotel arrangement will be provided shortly.
3. Registration and paper submission
Registration is on-site. The organizer will cover all participants lunch and banquet during the meeting. The registration is free for students. For others, the fee is NT 1200 for both domestic and oversea participants. All oral papers are invited. Contributed poster papers are welcome. The deadline is October 31, 2006. Acceptance of contributed papers will be notified by Nov. 15, 2006.
