Postdoc and Ph.D positons in Ultrafast Spectroscopy of Correlated Electron Materials, Konstanz University, Germany
A new research group is being established at the Physics Department of Konstanz University (http://www.uni-konstanz.de/physik/) financed via a Sofja-Kovalevskaja Award of the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation (http://www.avh.de/en/programme/preise/kova.htm).
The research will focus on ultrafast spectroscopy (optical, THz spectroscopy, ultrafast electron diffraction) of strongly-correlated electron materials.
Applications for postdoc research position and Ph.D student position starting in December 2006 are invited.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desired: ultrafast spectroscopy, THz spectroscopy, femtosecond lasers and amplifiers, electron diffraction, physics of strongly-correlated electron systems.
Interested applicants should send their curriculum vitae with publication list, a description of their research experience and interests, and a list of potential persons who could write recommendation letters on behalf of the candidate to Ass. Prof. Jure Demsar (jure.demsar@ijs.si, http://optlab.ijs.si/jdemsar/index.htm ), preferably via e-mail.
