Call for Nominations for Scientific Advisory Board
The Terahertz Science and Technology Network invites Network members to nominate candidates for the Network Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). The SAB will both guide the general activities of the THz Network and review proposals to establish THz Network Nodes. We are proposing that the Network will, with the guidance of the Network SAB, ultimately provide necessary infrastructure that is beyond the means of any individual investigator. A key component of the THz Network is a set of Nodes which, along with research tools and expertise, will together span the current state-of-the-art in terahertz capabilities. These nodes will provide open access to all qualified users.
Nominees for the Scientific Advisory Board should be prominent scientists who, while perhaps not currently or directly involved in terahertz research themselves, have an interest in and knowledge of the field. While we are soliciting Network funding from U.S. federal agencies, nominees for the SAB need not be limited to U.S. residents or citizens.
Please send nominations before April 21st by e-mail to: suggestions@thznetwork.org Nominations should include the nominee’s name, contact information, and one or two sentences describing why you feel the nominee is qualified and would make an excellent THz Network SAB member.
