THz Organizations
There exist several large THz organizations and/or THz networks worldwide. The membership of these organizations ranges from ~100 to several hundred. These links are provided to foster international collaboration.
U.S.A.: THz Science and Technology Network
The THz Science and Technology Network’s goals are to lower barriers to experimental and theoretical research involving THz radiation, to foster interaction and technological innovation, and to expand the THz community.
Japan: Terahertz Technology Forum
The Terahertz Technology Forum is wholly dedicated to the research and development of new technologies for the generation, detection, and control of THz waves, and the applications which utilize the unique properties of energies in the THz region (0.1~100 THz).
Europe: TeraNova
TeraNova is a 48-month Integrated Project within the Information Science and Technologies program of the European Communities Framework VI Research activity. The TeraNova Consortium is made up of 18 members throughout Europe in large companies, SMEs, Universities, and Research Centers. TeraNova provides new functional components, undertakes basic scientific research, and develops new applications within the THz region of the spectrum.
China: THz Research and Development Network
The English version opens the window of Chinese THz research to the overseas researchers and related professionals aimed at introducing the latest progress, experiments, research theses and news. We believe it will be a bridge to connect the THz scholars at home and abroad for a better communication and cooperation.
